Most of the administrative work in an EBAS assessment falls to EBAS and the licensee. Your board names the categories in the order, names a results recipient once, and enforces the order. EBAS and the licensee handle everything between those points.

What your board does
Your board does three things. It names the categories in the order, names a results recipient once, and enforces the order. A shared compliance or licensing inbox works well as the results recipient. EBAS administers and reports, and enforcement stays with the board.
For order language and completion window guidance, see How to Write the Assessment Into a Board Order.
What your board does not need to do
Board staff do not authorize the licensee with Prometric, because EBAS handles it and boards need no Prometric relationship or account. Staff also do not forward results to the licensee, who receives a copy directly, and do not chase scenario selection, which EBAS assigns by profession within about 24 hours of payment.
What the licensee does
The licensee registers, pays, schedules a Prometric appointment, and takes the assessment. Registration can be completed the same day.
Prometric centers are available nationwide and internationally, weekend appointments included, so a licensee who has moved out of state or out of the country can still test. Multiple assessments can be taken in one block or split apart, and that is the licensee’s choice. Allow at least a week for scheduling, and figure roughly four to six weeks from start to finish.
About a quarter of licensees ask EBAS for help somewhere in the process.
Fees and payment
Each assessment costs $400, paid by the licensee directly to EBAS. Your board is not billed and does not process payment. The $400 covers both the assessment and the testing center fee, so there is no separate charge from Prometric.
The fee applies to each assessment, including retakes. A separate $50 fee per essay applies to rescheduling or canceling five to 29 days before the scheduled date.
Who to contact
Bradley Guye handles board referrals and presentation requests. Greg Hirschi handles board-level questions and escalations. Lanie Dart handles day-to-day support, reports, and logistics.
EBAS reaches out after your board’s first score report to walk through it, and the offer stands for staff who join later.
