1. Scheduling Your Assessment
- Register and pay at (create ebas.org an account if new)
- Receive your eligibility ID and Prometric link by email from EBAS (within 1–2 business days)
- At Prometric’s site, enter your eligibility ID and the first four letters of your last name
- Select your test site, day, and time
- Confirm your selections to finalize scheduling
Important
Schedule using a desktop or laptop. The Prometric site does not display correctly on mobile devices.
Once scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation with your test location, date, and time.
2. Arriving at the Testing Center
Permitted Items
DO Bring
- Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, military, or state/ province ID)
- Car keys
- Locker key (provided at check-in)
NOT Allowed
- Cell phones
- Tablets and all watches (including smartwatches)
- Smart glasses
- Notes, paper, or study materials
- Bags or personal items
Lockers Provided
CCTV monitored lockers are provided to store personal belongings while taking your assessment. Locker size varies by Prometric testing site. You keep the locker key with you during the assessment.
Check-In Steps
To get started with your EBAS assessments, follow these steps:
- Show your ID to the proctor
- Empty pockets
- Glasses inspected to ensure they are not electronic
- Proctor takes photo and signature
- Security scan
Important
Arrive at least 20 minutes early. Late arrivals are considered “no shows,” and assessment fees are forfeited. Bringing prohibited items into the testing room can result in your assessment being stopped.
3. NDA and Tutorial
Before your assessment begins
You must accept a non-disclosure agreement before continuing. You’ll see this screen before the tutorial. Accepting it allows you to move forward.

Tutorial
A short tutorial (about 10 minutes) shows you how to navigate the testing system. Tutorial time does not count toward your assessment.

4. The Assessment Experience
Assessment Details
Format: One essay response based on a case scenario
Time: 60 minutes
Structure: Four components – introductory opinion, consequences, public protection, and solutions
Interface: Text entry box for your response
Tools: A whiteboard is provided for notes
